Classical and quantum decay of one dimensional finite wells with oscillating walls. Abstract To study the time decay laws (tdl) of quasibounded hamiltonian systems we have considered two finite potential wells with oscillating walls filled by non interacting particles. We show that the tdl can be qualitatively different for different movement of the oscillating wall at classical level according to the characteristic of trapped periodic orbits. However, the quantum dynamics do not show such differences.

When the classical & quantum mechanical considerations hint to a single point; a microscopic particle in a one dimensional box with two infinite walls and a linear potential inside it
In this paper we have solved analytically the Schrödinger equation for a microscopic particle in a one-dimensional box with two infinite walls, which the potential function inside it, has a linear form. Based on the solutions of this special quantum mechanical system, we have shown that as the quantum number approaches infinity the expectation values of microscopic particle position and square ...

The oscillating gravitational field of an oscillaton of finite mass M causes it to lose energy by emitting classical scalar field waves, but at a rate that is non-perturbatively tiny for small µ ≡ GM m/¯ hc, where m is the scalar field mass: dM/dt ≈ −3 797 437.776 333 015(c 3 /G)µ −2 e −39.433 795 197 160 163/µ [1 + O(µ)]. Oscillatons also decay by the quantum process of the annihilation of sca...

In this paper, for the first time we have studied theoretically the effect of exchange-correlation holes around electrons in GaAlAs/GaAs/GaAlAs nanostructure on the temperature-dependent dynamic dielectric function of two-dimensional electron gas by employing random phase, STLS and Hubbard approximations. Also, we have investigated another interesting system which is coupled quantum wells struc...
متن کاملQuantum Interference Control of Ballistic Magneto- resistance in a Magnetic Nanowire Containing Two Atomic- Size Domain Walls
The magnetoresistance of a one-dimensional electron gas in a metallic ferromagnetic nanowire containing two atomic-size domain walls has been investigated in the presence of spin-orbit interaction. The magnetoresistance is calculated in the ballistic regime, within the Landauer-Büttiker formalism. It has been demonstrated that the conductance of a magnetic nanowire with double domain walls...
متن کاملElectromagnetic fields in a 3D cavity and in a waveguide with oscillating walls
We consider classical and quantum electromagnetic fields in a threedimensional (3D) cavity and in a waveguide with oscillating boundaries of the frequency Ω. The photons created by the parametric resonance are distributed in the wave number space around Ω/2 along the axis of the oscillation. When classical waves propagate along the waveguide in the one direction, we observe the amplification of...
